We started by removing all of the original patio and part of the lawn. We laid down a new hardcore foundation with a weed-protective membrane underneath. Then we installed some treated railway sleepers as a border of the patio and laid it with Indian Sandstone slabs in various sizes for an interesting look. We also erected a new wooden fence and side gate to provide privacy and security.
