We started by removing the existing slabs around the pool. Then we levelled off any imperfections and laid a new hardcore foundation with a new block paving border. We topped the surface with tarmac and machine-rolled it down. Finally, after drying, we applied a layer of resin-bound chippings and compacted it down to form a strong bond.
