Take a look at this driveway and pathway project in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, completed by JD Drivestyle LTD. The materials used in this driveway were Indian Sandstone for the pathway and Resin Bound Gravel for the driveway.
Our first step was clearing the entire driveway area - the old block paving, lawn and hedging. We laid our foundation of a type 1 MOT base and weed control membrane sheeting under the pathway area. On the right side of the property, we built a wall and a raised flower bed using railway sleepers. As mentioned above, we used Indian Sandstone slabs for the pathway and refashioned a recessed manhole cover. We poured down a bed of tarmac, enclosed by a cobbled edge, for the resin-bound gravel to adhere to. The whole area was then floated for a perfectly smooth finish.
